In Luxembourg on 6 June 2010 the Association of the Councils of State and Supreme Administrative Jurisdictions of the European Union (ACA-Europe) held one of its two annual Board meetings. ACA-Europe Secretary-General Yves Kreins reviewed the activities of ACA-Europe regarding the Association’s database, the judges exchange programme, collaboration with European institutions and the publication of ACA-Europe’s Newsletter 23 early in 2010, which reported on the ACA-Europe seminar on the assessment of magistrates, held in Brussels in November 2009. The follow-up of the "Tour d’Europe" also featured on the agenda. The Board’s discussions also covered the seminar scheduled for the end of 2010 , which will be devoted to asylum policy, a very important subject for all courts that are members of the Aassociation. ACA-Europe’s budget for 2010 was also examined. In addition, the Board considered a proposal about the participation in ACA-Europe’s activities of the Federal Tribunal of Switzerland as guest. The previous Board meeting had already agreed to the participation of the Supreme Court of Norway under the same conditions. |
